Islam people believe in one good and one god only, Allah.
Five Pillars of Islam
Islam people live their lives by the Five Pillars of Islam.
Shahadah- "Profession of faith" It is the first pillar of Islam. Muslims must recite, "There is not God but God and Muhhamad is the Messenger of God."
Salah- "Prayer" It is the second pillar of Islam. The Islamic faith says that individuals have a direct relationship with God. They must pray five times a day at, dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and evening. They also must perform a service towards a church.
Zakat- "Almsgiving" it is the third pillar. It means that they must give money or material to the poor.
Sawm- This is the fourth pillar and it means that they must fast during the holy month of Ramadan. They are not allowed to eat or drink anything from dawn to sunset. They do this to experience how Muhhamad lived during Ramadan.
Hajj- This is the fifth pillar and most important. It is about the journey to Makkah following the path Muhhamad took to Makkah.
